Just had thanksgiving yesterday with the family (as I celebrate it on the correct day), and hearing stories from them reminds me of the stories the kids would be telling with or without this camp, and that the time we have with each other is limited.
Cancer affects everyone. Even with the many advancements we made. . . I think Stephanie said it best: "Chemotherapy may have cured my cancer, but camp definitely cured my spirit". Cancer harms more than just the body. The emotion, stress, the family. Being a child does not help this. I am incredibly proud to be apart of this event and the TF2 community. To think that some silly game called TF2 would be the seed for an amazing and fun charity event. I love all of you, whether you donated, or you spread the word to everyone you can. Sorry for the long message. I would kiss all of you if I could. <3 |
