This donation is on behalf of an incarcerated friend of mine whom I met through TF2. Before his incarceration, he helped create two successful TF2 communities and worked with Lange on MGEMod. In a recent letter, he expressed his gratitude to all the people he met through the game who still write to him, even when the rest of his friends have stopped.
I'm always amazed at how strong the friendships forged in a hat simulator are. It seems like an unlikely game to bring people together in the way it does. I'm happy to be a part of that, and Tip of the Hats is an awesome testament to the generosity of the entire community. Thank you for holding this annual event, and I hope to see you all again next year! Surf on. |
